Baja California Sur, January 2025

We have spent a couple of months in Baja California. This is the West Coasts answer to Bahamas. The temperatures in winter are cool but not cold, and the wind can blow for days from the North. We have had to spend quite a few weeks hiding in various spots from this wind. Not complaining tho. Life could be a lot worse than having to stay put in a beautiful spot surrounded by natural beauty and wildlife.

We see Humpback whale spouts, always in the distance, and even saw a number of blue whale spouts, also in the distance. We have been surrounded my big pods of dolphins feeding the in the early mornings, always a delight. And of course, the Mobula Rays are constantly jumping, in the distance. Pelicans and frigate birds are abundant and we never tire of watching them feed. One morning we were riding around in the dinghy and a seal came and played next to the boat, he swam around and was jumping playfully. That was a great start to the day.
