Kariwa is a Nordhavn 62, renowned for her capability to circumnavigate the globe. She’s one of the most serious 62s out there, having traveled to Russia, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. She even got shipped to the Mediterranean before cruising around there as well. Recently, she’s been making waves along the US East Coast.
Kariwa underwent a major refurbishment and mechanical overhaul to ensure she remains a powerhouse. We’ve added updates to the navigation and communication systems, and now even the Master Mariner is fully satisfied with her setup.
Built in 1997, she’s the 4th of the Nordhavn 62 series. While the hull is original, nearly everything else has been replaced or refurbished in the last two years—engines, systems, hoses, and cabling.
Specifications:
The salon on the 62 is spacious, with a larger galley than most boats of her size, featuring plenty of storage, 2 fridges, and 2 freezers. The wheelhouse is large, offering ample seating and a dinette behind the pilot chair for comfort on long trips.
In August 2022, we took Kariwa to Ram Marina in Rio Dulce, Guatemala, for a makeover. She received a fresh hull color we absolutely love, plus new canvas work, including a dinghy cover with chaps, a new aft deck Bimini, new hatch covers, and a spotlight cover. We also updated the Sunbrella blinds in the salon and gave the master cabin a fresh headboard cover. All headliners were redone, and the results are stunning.
Kariwa is now unmistakable, and she turns heads wherever she goes.
